Hey guys! Welcome back to the blog! I hope you enjoyed my Kohl’s clothing haul wishlist! If you haven’t checked it out yet, maybe you could check it out when you have an extra minute or two? Did it inspire you to add anything to your wardrobe? Alright, enough about my last post… let’s move on to today’s post which is all about my Fall must-haves! I feel like this is overkill on all things Fall but I figured I’d get it all out since it is, in fact, Fall right now and I’ve been inspired to do these kinds of posts. If you guys like these kinds of posts maybe I’ll do a Winter must-haves? Let me know if you do!
The first thing on my list is sweaters! I’m a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl, but Fall/Winter brings out the sweater-wearing girl in me. I just talked about this sweater on my wishlist even though I already have it… and I’m just obsessed with it! It’s the perfect fit, and the color is my favorite!
The second thing on my list is coffee! Now in the last couple years, my love for coffee has diminished a little bit, and I do believe it’s because I can finally feel the caffeine affect me when I drink it, and I don’t necessarily like that feeling. I still love coffee, but it’s more of a once in a while thing rather than an everyday occurrence for me. But I must admit I do love a good cup of coffee in the Fall, and I may even splurge to get a Starbucks coffee too. 😉 Other days coffee is just as good in my Reba cup.
The third thing on my list is Panera’s seasonal items: autumn squash soup and roasted turkey cranberry flatbread! I discovered this item a couple years ago, and now I wait every year for this to come back! I get the apple just to make myself feel healthy instead of getting the baguette like I would like to… 😉
The fourth thing on my list is crocheting! So this one may fall closer into the Winter must-haves, but I do break out the crochet gear and start working on some kind of project. Usually, it’s gifts for my kiddos or coworkers depending on what I’m making and what kind of timetable I have to work with. So far I’ve only made one thing and technically that one’s not finished yet… I’m getting a late start this year!
The fifth thing on my list is the Red album by Taylor Swift. Each year it never fails that this album gets more play in the Fall than any other time of the year. I think that’s mostly because that’s when it was released and when I listened to it the most. Plus all of the Fall references in her songs kind of makes it a must listen to in the Fall… I remember when it released, and we were just getting ready to take a trip to Branson and I’d convinced my mom to let us listen to it on the car radio. We all listened to it, and I analyzed all of the songs on that car ride. My favorite songs are Red, All Too Well, I Almost Do, Stay Stay Stay, Begin Again, and Come Back… Be Here.
The sixth thing on my list is dark nail polish. Okay, so I don’t always paint my nails and but when I do I end of gravitating to darker colors ever since I found out that Reba wears a color called Linkin Park After Dark by OPI. I feel weird wearing such a dark color during Spring or Summer so I wait until Fall to break it out and paint my nails with it. Call me obsessed or whatever you want for wearing a nail polish just because a celebrity wears it but I slowly gravitated to darker colors as I got older. I used to wear a blue polish that was almost black before Linkin Park After Dark.
The seventh and last thing on my list is baking! I LOVE to bake in the Fall AND Winter! It’s so much fun to get to make cookies and try new recipes! I love how the house smells like a bakery after all of the baking, however, I do not love the clean up afterward! LOL! My favorite cookies to bake are Peanut Butter cookies and hot chocolate marshmallow cookies! I try to add at least one new recipe to my cookbook every year!
I guess that wraps it up for this post since I couldn’t think of anything else that I absolutely have to have in the Fall. I’ve been working all day on new posts and I think my brain is officially mush since I can’t think of anything else to add to this post so I better end now while I’m ahead. LOL! I hope you enjoyed this post even if it was a little shorter than I try to have posted! Let me know down below in the comments or on social media what some of your Fall must-haves are! Maybe I’ll have to try something new?
Until next time,
